New York U.S. House member Alexandra Occasional Cortex … er … Ocasio-Cortez is the shining star of the Left and is considered by Democratic Party Chairman Tom Perez as its future. A self-proclaimed democratic socialist, Cortez was recently interviewed by Anderson Cooper on CBS in which the topic of the Green New Deal came up.

The Green New Deal is the Left’s latest marketing tool to make the case to destroy the U.S. energy sector in which the plan calls for replacing all carbon-based fuels with so-called renewable energy. According to The Washington Times, Cortez is quoted as telling Anderson Cooper:

You look at our tax rates back in the ‘60s, and when you have a progressive tax rate system, your tax rate, let’s say from $0 to $75,000 maybe 10% or 15%, etc. But once you get to the tippie-tops, on your 10 millionth dollar, sometimes you see tax rates as high as 60 or 70 percent. That doesn’t mean all $10 million dollars are taxed at an extremely high rate. But it means that as you climb up this ladder, you should be contributing more.

The funny part about it is the fact that I honestly can't remember her name without occasional cortex. Cartoonist Dag is the unsung hero behind the “Occasional Cortex” moniker, which because CFP couldn’t copyrite it, was picked up by many woke Conservatives, including radio giant Rush Limbaugh, who.

Cooper called Cortez’s remedy to tax wealthy people 70% radical to which she then had the audacity to not only embrace the term but also compared herself to Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Delano Roosevelt. However, Ocasio-Cortez conveniently doesn’t want you to know that she has no intention of ponying up or living up to her ideals.

To her credit, Ocasio-Cortez had previously even criticized lawmakers who drew their $174,000 a year salaries while the federal government was in the midst of a shutdown. However, it was nothing more than convenient posturing. A reporter with the New York Postcaught up with her yesterday on Capitol Hill and asked Cortez if she planned to live up to what she advocated. Her response was: I’ve gotta run!

During December of last year, Ocasio-Cortez criticized Congressional lawmakers for drawing salaries while the shutdown was going on but she obviously has no intention of practicing what she preaches. That would also include her paying the extra 70% tax she supports to fund her green energy boondoggles since she would write the rules for her tax law and would know how to skirt it while everyone else would have to endure the headaches of having to pay or avoid the tax rate altogether.

.@AOC speaks out against ICE and CPB: 'We are standing on Native land, and Latino people are descendants of Native people. And we cannot be told and criminalized simply for our identity and our status.' https://t.co/QIKelB4HSFpic.twitter.com/EupRdAYWj3
