Entrance Requirements
1.1.1. Applicants with a Diploma in Educational Management shall enter at Level 300 of the degree programme. Relevant work experience in an educational setting shall be an added advantage.
1.1.2. Applicants with a Diploma in Education or its equivalent shall be admitted into either Level 200 or 300 of the Degree Programme on the basis of accumulated credits in the area of educational management. Relevant work experience in an educational setting shall be an added advantage.
1.1.3. Holders of a Teaching Certificate plus BGCSE with at least three grades at a minimum of grade C will enter at level 100. Relevant work experience in an educational setting shall be an added advantage.
1.1.4. Holders of a Teaching Certificate or its equivalent who do not meet the requirements above but who have experience in an educational setting will be admitted into level 100. Applicants seeking admission through this route shall submit recommendation letters and proof of experience in teaching and evidence of prior learning.
GENERAL PROVISION
1.1.5. The B Ed Educational Management is a four-year single major degree programme. All students are required to take core courses, General Education Courses (GEC), Electives and Optional Courses as defined in General Regulation 00.212. The normal workload for a full time student shall be as stipulated in General Regulation 00.61
1.1.6. At the end of Level 100, the Grade Point Average (GPA) shall be calculated on the basis of lecture hour equivalent as specified in General Regulation 00.8 and 00.9. Each course must be passed as per general regulation 00.845.
1.1.7. By the end of the programme 1/3 of the overall credits for the B.Ed programme must come from the electives and General Education courses and the remaining 2/3 must come from the core (Primary and Area of Concentration) and optional courses.

Assessment
3.1. All courses except EPE214, EPA300 EPA304, EPE419, EPM331, EPM431, EPP302, EPP405, EPP406 and
EPE442 shall be assessed as stipulated in general regulation 00.8. EPE214 would be assessed by practical presentations. For EPA304 assessments shall be based on tests/assignments (40%) and the research proposal (60%). EPE442 assessments shall be based on the research report only. EPE419 and EPA300 will be assessed by Tests/assignments and Project Work. EPM331 & EPM431 would be assessed by assignments and presentations. Failure without a good cause to submit continuous assessment work within 24 hours of the due date shall carry
a penalty of 5percentage marks. Failure to submit marks within 48hours of the due date shall carry a penalty of 50percentage marks. Failure to submit the work within one week from the due date shall incur a zero mark.
Progression from Semester to Semester
At the end of each semester the Grade Point Average (GPA) shall be calculated on the basis of the total weighted
scores divided by the number of credits. Cumulative Grade point Average (CGPA) is calculated as per General Regulation 00.86. Retaking and Probation shall be considered as per General, Regulation 00.92 and 00.93
Award of the Degree
In order to be awarded a degree, a student shall have accumulated a minimum number of 120 credits at the end of the programme as stipulated in General Regulation 00.851 and 00.852
