Zeus 2 is a lines-based slot which means in order to win, you need matching symbols on paylines from left to right, generally 3 symbols although for the top Zeus symbol, you only need 2. The primary Free Games Bonus is triggered by landing bonus symbols in reels 1, 2, and 3 which are the only reels they occur. The Hot Hot Respin feature is triggered by fully landing a stacked column of Zeus symbols in reel 1.

Overall, I find Zeus 2 to be fairly balanced where both of the bonus features occur reasonably often although to stay alive, you really need to trigger one of those features and score something good.

Zeus 2 sports generally the same graphics as Zeus but with some differences in game play. Unlike the original, bonus symbols now only appear on reels 1, 2, and 3 instead of all reels. This means you always trigger the bonus for 10 free games although you have the opportunity to retrigger for more spins. The second difference is that the reels are 4x5 instead of 3x5 allowing for different line-hit combinations. The paytables are also different where a full screen of Zeus will pay less than the original. Wild symbols also only appear in reels 2, 3, 4, and 5 in Zeus II.
The new feature in Zeus 2 is the 'Hot Hot Super Respin' feature which is essentially an extra bet you're paying to qualify for and is triggered by landing a full column of Zeus in reel 1 at which point the reels continue to spin with all Zeus and Wild symbols become sticky for the remainder of the feature.
